Richard Landry presented two concerts at The Kitchen on November 10th and 11th, 1974. In each concert, Landry, playing the tenor saxophone, performed a single, unaccompanied 45-minute jazz improvisation. The concerts were followed by screenings of videotapes produced by Landry, which took place at The Kitchen from November 12th through November 16th. The videotapes that aired during these events included Sax II, in which Landry plays the saxophone, and the multipart series Quad Suite, consisting of 6 Vibrations for Agnes Martin, Hebe’s Grand Bois, and 4th Register, in which Landry appears, playing the guitar, bamboo flute, and tenor sax respectively.
