On April 16th and 17th 2009, Sanford Biggers presented Conundrum. The aim was to examine both the collision and connection of culture, media, and society through music, texts, dance, etc. The performance can be described as creating a duet between the live performers and the videos cast behind them - oftentimes popular videos within the culture at the time of execution.
The performance was accompanied by musical artists Imani Uzuri, Martin Luther, Terry Adkins, with dance and choreography by Andrew Palermo and dre.dance.
